Digital & Employment Skill Development Centre

This year we started Digital & Employment Soft Skills Development Centre at South Extn. in association with NIIT Foundation as Knowledge partner. Project aims to prepare up to 96 Children p.a. from EWS category ready for employment for various job profiles and then get them suitably employed with reputed business entities.

It has been a dynamic and a very successful quarter, with significant milestones and achievements to celebrate.

Completion of the Course for 2 Batches

  • Career Edge Program Completion: We're delighted to announce that we have successfully completed 2 Batches of the Career Edge Program. Our students have demonstrated exceptional dedication and hard work throughout the course.
  • English for Job: The 'English for Job' module progress has been impressive. Students have not only enhanced their language skills but also gained valuable insights into effective communication in professional settings.
  • Career Options Exploration: Industry experts provided invaluable insights into various career options, enriching the students' understanding of potential paths in their respective fields.
  • Students Activities: A highlight of this quarter was the Group Presentation by our students, showcasing their collaborative skills and subject knowledge.

Diverse and Noteworthy Placements

All students opting for jobs from Batch 1were successfully placed across various industries, including Big Four Audit firms, Hotels, Hospitals, Office Equipment companies, and Luxury Retail. Six students underwent specialized training in the Hospitality Industry. Thanks to Mr. Rohit Bhatia of RIG Institute of Hospitality & Management and were subsequently placed at Le-Meridian Hotel. Three students secured positions at Ernst & Young, a global financial powerhouse. Four students were selected by DHLI Hospital for training in medical services. Infres Methodex, Puri’s International, and NIIT Foundation also welcomed DESDC graduates into their folds. We are pleased to share that the 2nd Batch at DESDC, completed the course of BFSI is completed and 12 students have got the placement at MyMoneyMantra.com. 3 students got place with East West Rescue Medical care.

Selection process for New Batch

  • Student profile: For the new batch, we are target 12th pass students aged 18 and above, especially those from economically weaker sections.
  • Selection Process: Our meticulous selection process includes home visits, written tests, parent interactions, candidate interviews, family interviews, and thorough background checks.

Program Overview

  • Integrated Program: Our Integrated Program encompasses Digital Skills, Functional Skills, Employment Skills, and Industry Exposure, ensuring a holistic development approach.
    • Digital Skills: Comprehensive training in MS Office, Data Entry, and Typing.
    • Functional Skills: Two independent streams – Accounts (including Tally and Tax Laws) and BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance).
    • Employment Skills: Focus on Spoken English and Soft Skills, including effective communication and interpersonal relations.
    • Industry Exposure: Regular industry visits and interactions with executives.
  • Digital Health Assistant: An independent program tailored for aspiring Digital Health Assistants includes training in Electronic Health Records, Telemedicine software, Front Office Management, and Basic Clinical Procedures, including CPR and Emergency Management.
