Rehabilitation and Capacity Building Program for Special Children

This year we also setup the ‘Rehabilitation and Capacity Building Program for Special Children with A Giggles Welfare Organization’ at South Delhi for the benefit of underprivileged population. The key features for the project are as under:

A state of art rehabilitation centre with sufficient amount of facilities under the following provisions:

• Advance Medical Equipment for therapies.
• Timely therapies to prevent permanent disability.
• Facility to ensure holistic development of children in still in them a sense of self-reliance.
• Vocational skills training to equip them with essential skills
• Special education to ensure basic life skills for the children.
• Early intervention centre, free consultation and screening expected to address the ailment in the early Stages.
• Free transport & nutrition meal to ensure attendance of the registered patients.

Capacity building of parents of children disability:

• Enable them to better deal with the child at home.
• Facilitate families for certificates & pensions of their differently abled children.
• Education to families about specific disabilities, provisions, govt. schemes & policies and how to avail the benefits.
• Personalized support for the families with disabled children.

We have also applied for the Global Grant towards the Operational Cost for the Centre for next 3-4 years and hope soon it will be cleared.
